Our double twisted gabion is widely used as a drapery system to prevent rockfall and debris from falling onto roads, railways or where there is a possibility of loss of property or life. The most popular in today's market, these "hand crafted" net systems come in many different sizes and can be fabricated using galvanized, stainless or colored coated wire rope. This system assures a high degree of durability with minimal or no wire breakage or deformation of individual rings during rock impact. For custom orders only, the PVC may be available in different colors, such as gray, black, brown and so on.

This protection system is not only easy to install and environmentally friendly, but also very durable and useful. Due to the characteristics of the double twist, gabion rockfall protection can withstand the force of the falling rocks without unravelling in the event of wire breakage. The durable, non-deforming, corrosion resistant woven gabion combine high performance, flexible wire ropes with binding clips. And the gabion is anchored at the top of the slope with a trench at the bottom to collect the debris. Encapsulating vegetative soil pockets under the drapery system permits the establishment of vegetation if conditions permit.

It can also be supplied with a monitoring alarm system. This optional device, instantly informs users when the system is being impacted by more than heavy rockfall. It is recommended for use in conjunction with fences that are installed in heavily traveled roads and other critical locations.
